To our OneChild staff working around the world, supporting Hope Centers in a field or regional office or supporting the work of OneChild in the U.S., this pathway is for you. Your everyday work makes us who we are as an organization, and we are so grateful for the ways you live out OneChild’s mission. This pathway is meant to encourage and equip you whether you are supporting frontline work or not.

Developing a Thriving Cause Community

This course equips OneChild staff and partners with adaptable training content to use as they train frontline leaders in pre-launch, launch, and post-launch activities in setting up Cause Communities on Bridgely.

After completing the course, learners will be able to:

  • describe the pre-launch to post-launch processes and understand the components of each,
  • distinguished what content must be contextualized,
  • compared globally created tools, and
  • organize contextualized trainings for their respective Hope Centers based on best practices and collective OneChild wisdom.

Child Protection Course

This comprehensive course on child safeguarding and protection was created by nine subject matter experts in seven countries who have extensive experience in detecting, preventing, and responding to abuse.

After completing the course, learners will be able to:

    • describe a theological framework for child protection,
    • distinguish several ways to help prevent abuse,
    • execute a plan of action when a child shares about alleged abuse,
    • understand how to use EthicsPoint, and
    • determine their own next steps in protecting child from abuse.

Ambassador Training

This training equips ambassadors with all the knowledge they need to start their journey leading a Cause Community. Ambassadors will learn their roles and how they intersect so that expectations are clear.

After completing the new course, learners will be able to:

  • define and differentiate the roles of the facilitator and ambassador,
  • understand their role as part of OneChild’s mission,
  • recognize and cultivate healthy intercultural communication, and
  • function effectively within the Bridgely app.

Introduction to Program

This course will provide you an overview of introductory topics related to program and help you successfully launch a partnership from a programmatic perspective.

This course includes: the value and importance of children, partnership and maturation, child selection criteria, holistic child development, and transformational development.
